Castle
Explore medieval architecture dating back to the 14th century at Rocca Roveresca di Senigallia, a fortress featuring a strikingly intricate design. The stronghold was originally built to consolidate the papal power in central Italy following the change of the papal residence from Avignon to Rome in 1350. You can explore courtyards, drawbridges, circular towers, and winding spiral staircases. Cross the bridges that connect the towers for a view of the city and the gardens that surround it. As you wander through the historical rooms, use the informational panels posted to gain further details. Discover the labyrinth of underground tunnels and the various restorations and additions that have brought the fortress to its current state. Note that the basement and second floor are only accessible by stairs. • Beautiful monument in the Centre of Senigallia, a must see! Inside are organized exhibitions, currently there is an exhibition about World War II. The monument is perfectly cured is clean, staff are very helpful. The price of admission of 2 is more than justified point a must see if you go to Senigallia

  • Nice, well kept and very easy to reach by train, is right in front of the station. Inside is bare, there was no furniture, but is used for various exhibitions. At this time there are weapons and uniforms.
