Inspirock Rating:
3.3/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web
Take a trip back in time to Tonnara di Scopello, the Mediterranean's only surviving traditional tuna fishery and a popular location for moviemakers. A medieval tower rises above the oleander-, olive-, and almond-lined property. The rocky bay is topped with prickly-pear-covered rocks. Stay overnight inside one of the original fishermen's rooms, take a guided tour through the museum, and explore the underwater archaeological museum on a diving tour of the bay. You can also arrange a sailing trip to the Zingaro Natural Reserve. • If, on returning from the zingaro (beautiful), you want to stop to admire the faraglioni and the trap but haven't reserved guided tour, you'll end up relegated to a few carefully avoided: meters in the sea, on the beautiful sight of the stacks ... but without being able to move. All for 3.5 euros per person for access, plus parking.

  • The location could not be better and the staff is friendly. The rooms however are so old (not maintained), dirty and full of insects. If I could post photos, you would probably not book. It is supposed to be a private beach but they sell tickets to people who want to spend the day on the beach. The result is that it is very crowded. If they would invest a couple of million in the apartments, it could be a true 4star hotel. Now it's just camping with a roof. Very disappointed. For 180 euro per night I would have expected at least some shampoo in the room and clean mattresses
  • It is a cheating place. Cheating people who sell tickets. The ticket girl is rude and ill-mannered. There is nothing to do there, no service at all but these "businessmen" take €3.5 per person for entrance.... Strange business. I feel to be cheated by these people. The cost to see the rocks - €3,5 + parking €1/h + €1 per small bottle. No worth to visit.
  • My beach will be always in ny hearr
  • Bad that you need to pay for it
  • That is the place I was looking for on Sicilia
