Scicli, Scicli

(4.8/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Scicli is an ancient town dating back to the third millennium BCE, when it was founded by the Sicils. Today, you'll find it as it was rebuilt after the earthquake of 1693--in the elegant Sicilian Baroque style. Stroll the narrow stony streets as they wind up and down sun-drenched hills, stopping to admire the stone gargoyles and numerous Baroque churches. Plan your visit to Scicli and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Scicli family vacation planner.

  • Scicli is a small town with a lot of charm. The centre with its town hall is very nice and welcoming. We have immediately want to ask on the terrace to admire the places and feel this atmosphere so typical of the baroque Sicily. If you are visiting in Syracuse, you really visit. It was for us a beautiful discovery.

  • If you go to Known you can't see even Scicli and not only because a good half of the scenes of Dexter were filmed here, but why just breathe deeply Sicilian atmosphere. And if you stop to eat anything around you reconcile with the world. I'm going back often now and every time I discover something new, an angle that I hadn't noticed before. Nice indeed.
