Another unmissable place in scicli. Striking the surrounding landscape but also the architecture of the Church. The Interior is wonderful, nice and impressive in its history. Not to be missed.

One of the best in the city, not to be missed. Just steps from one of the two main squares, absolutely easy to reach.

The Church placed at the entrance of the Quarry has a neoclassical façade that nothing suggests that lying and you get passed the entrance. The Church whose dominant colors are white, blue and gold will completely isolates from outside, from "profane" world, you realize you're "immersed" in a sacred place. Cannot describe it, necessarily see and feel inside, the rest he does her. The most "simple" is a crib, on the left, visible from both sides, recounted by Neapolitan sculptor Padula, of 1700. They remain 30 statues of 64. The altarpiece by Paige illustrating the martyrdom of Saint Bartholomew is the central element of the whole iconography. Don't forget the Immaculate created by the Catera to Known and finally the reliquary of San Bartolomeo in silver and the deposition of Mattia Preti which is the "jewel" of the monumental complex. Scicli you cannot leave without this visit. Manuela and Alessandro Gori

  • Beautiful.
  • Wonderful, seen only from the outside in the middle of the night, in silence, lit by the moon. Incredible special effects.

  • The façade with three orders documents the transition from late baroque to neoclassical architecture. The prospect, in fact, started at the end of the 18th century by Antonio Mazza was reworked by Salvatore Ali and concluded in the third order only in 1815 by p. Ventura.
