  • A lovely early morning bike ride around the narrow alleys of Scicli lead us to this wonderful place next to an old chapel. The view of the city is breathtaking. Great point to take photos.  more »

  • Most beautiful experience in scicli. Best place and awesome sightseeing. The worst part is to find it. google maps didn't find the car driving pass but in the map you can see it road sp40 and turn.
  • Beautiful
  • A very suggestive place both for the suggestion that you try to visit it and for the beautiful proscenium that you can admire looking out from one of the balconies on the old part of SCICLI. A hermitage that exudes history and that you visit with extreme pleasure.

  • Scenic Place. You can see the sea and the whole city of SCICLI. The only drawback unfortunately is not always visitable inside

  • If you have climbed the Hill of St. Matthew, you cannot stay at the foot of the Cross Hill! Here a Franciscan Convent and the Church of St. Mary of the Cross are located, with late-Gothic elements, saved from the earthquake of 1693. And there are also people (unlike St. Matthew), since the entrance is paid. The Convent is lovely, perfectly restored (in some parts, indeed, it is all too modern). From many places you can enjoy breathtaking views, as long as you do not suffer from vertigo. The Church is small and no longer used for worship. To admire the facade, while the interior is rather bare. Some panels show reproductions of the frescoes it contained, currently moved to the Church of Santa Teresa. Great acoustics.
