  • The path follows the steps up to the church. Most of the way up there is a left fork which, if you're feeling fit you can take to the higher Santa Lucia. Up at San Matteo you get marvellous views over...  more »
  • Despite the degradation, this church, which was the first parish of the town, always has its own charm. The climb to reach it is not easy, far from it and the show as you hear is not the most exciting, if not for the view of the city. The vandals had "consecrated" in their ritual place, that of the writings on the walls and scars. What a shame! Expect it to become a place cleaned and culture, vera. However the climb is worth it for the location is wonderful!

  • The road up is certainly not easy, but the kind that opens before you pay. Highly recommend!

  • this old church is as much abandoned as intriguing
  • You can enjoy a splendid view over the city after a short walk, shame about the conditions of degradation, that have left me thrilled

  • Can only be reached on foot. From the church you can admire a beautiful panorama of Scicli. The Church is not open to the public but also the exterior of the Church is well worth the climb.
