  • This is about 7kms up from the town and certainly worth the effort of getting there. The church is interesting but not spectacular, though pity the badly designed annex was allowed. On the main altar ...  more »
  • Nice Church but especially great view, you could visit the cave, as well as the small museum that explains very well the phenomenon of steam show, very interesting with lots of pictures

  • On vacation in sciaccamare, with a friend one morning we climbed on foot to the shrine of San Calogero. Its definitely worth it, is about 6/7 Km. One walks mostly on paved road, traffic does not exist. We were told that before there was a path now closed to dangers. We met locals who offered us a drink and also gave us some beautiful lemons. Beautiful panorama. On top of a square and the beautiful sanctuary dedicated to the hermit San Calogero. You can still easily reach by public transportation departing from Sciacca.
