  • The basilica is located in the historical centre of Sciacca. Easy to reach on foot. Always open. Beautiful.

  • In a square almost pitched, composed and placid overlooks the main entrance of the basilica (I prefer the side with the classic Division into right and ssinistra staircase) you notice for a marble statue of Mary Magdalene on the central door and two more in more niches that it turns out to be the G ... I think father ... and the peculiarities of the area linked to the local Golden stone emphasized by the contrast with the white lime. Inside she breathes that typical solemnity of holy places with the Renaissance style while the church now known dates from the Baroque period. and ionic columns, as well as a Gothic arch originally from first conceiving the basilica itself. Ethereal la Maddalena, just as quick, voluptuous and threatening "the last judgment" frescoes in the nave attributed to Raja son ... For my taste but splendid lofty nn itself for details, so among the places that you should visit if you go in Sciacca.

  • Places essential to see when you walk in SCIACCA. The masses reflected a particular Sicilian atmosphere a little style "THE GODFATHER" to see, but attention to your attire.
