  • The rocky cliffs and sea view, the castle with is history and architecture, the village lying beneath the rock create a unique and breathtaking landscape. Definetely It worths a visit.  more »
  • Despite its small size, this castle is a treasure chest full of treasure. Meanwhile, its structure, the many historical exhibits well presented and organized in rooms on different levels, and then the location from which you can see as far as capo sant'alessio on the South side but also the whole of calabria in front, beyond the sea. Opening hours are Mon to Fri 9-12. 10-13 sat and Sun. There is also an afternoon opening, 17-20, but only Fri and sat. Info 0909596711. I would recommend the Guide to know the particularities of this place so enjoyable. A final recommendation, but very important: If you're not comfortable shoes and get to the stairs, avoid it because otherwise you will take with you a good memory of the Castle.

  • Lovely Castle (Dungeon) located on top of a hill, entering it is a real climb. Inside you will find a collection of memorabilia of battle (swords, helmets, armor pieces) of the 16th-17th centuries, embalmed heads of animals (the classic "trofe hunting's") and of the original stools made with elephant feet. The Interior is well cared for, a path runs around the Castle (not large) in its 3 floors. The view you can enjoy from up there is breathtaking. Are neglected exterior, full of weeds. Little organisation and unclear, I called in the morning and a very kind person gave me the timetable for the afternoon (I think for guided tours), booked me for one of them, arrival and I find nothing and nobody, I visit the Castle solo so other people, I restrain myself from after hours and nothing. Despite all the norbulinga deserves the highest marks!

  • To visit and enhance seriously maybe by putting it in the tour of the cruises. The castle is also surrounded by a picturesque landscape and by a characteristic village. A little-known historical and cultural wealth

  • NORBULINGA Tired hiker at your shadow I found refreshment, while lost eyes they searched in your mystery and heavy footsteps broke a minute horror to silence ... How many voices and many stories between your walls, thick like a suit of armor that imprison our thoughts! Fantasies, anecdotes, poignant love, violence and tears, tragic stories, the forbidden truth ... but everything is buried, now petrified, in the mists of time! Lively, at times, only the wind coming up from the beaches below sneaks to browse from your wounds and as safe as home runs, the dark caverns of your bowels, limply there bears the scent of a haunted sea very rich in myths ... The usual stories liars, invented by imaginary singers, but that, like so many old tales, sometimes cradling the soul up to quell any trouble. Ladder, May 1993
