  • The sanctuary is built in late Baroque style Neapolitan and not lacking in some notes hints of Rococo. The façade has several wavy lines, recesses and protrusions, and is characterized by a central portal and the other two minors who do enter the square in front of the shrine from where you go after the entry. The whole structure consists of three naves of which the main one is surmounted by a fresco depicting the resurrection of Christ. Immediately above the entrance is the organ, decorated with porcelain and bronze palms, with tall reeds in the traditional style of the 17th century. The dome is quite low and it is frescoed with depictions of popular life, and especially of scenes of the miraculous fountain and miracles of our Lady. Even the altar that houses the beautiful painting of the Virgin of the baths is in Baroque style, due to the presence of highly colored marbles flanked by paintings of age much later. Towards the end of may there is the characteristic folk festival which is a strong attraction to the whole area. The so called ' carrettòn ' ' e vagne "and pays homage to Madonna and the miraculous source where about 200 years ago unexplained miracles happened. Tradition has it that, during the festivities, we should hand it back on the altar because sweat impregnated the Virgin Mary.

  • Sunday, 16.10.2016, my wife and I went to the shrine to hear mass, being the day of our 40 year anniversary, I asked the priest if he could present them after celebrating Mass give us a blessing to validate our Union before God. I heard that you could not do, because I hadn't gone to the Concierge book. I point out to the pastor that ours is not a ceremony with great fanfare, because unlike what was celebrating with another couple, party, wedding etc. our wanted to be a simple blessing, I was banned, you draw the conclusions.
