  • If you're around for Savona. Tourist visits are by Association "friends of the ecclesiastical patrimony-Savona". Interesting. To return from here towards the harbour there is a pedestrian path with stairs.

  • This charming Chapel is definitely worth a visit. Built in 1483 as a mausoleum by Pope Sixtus IV with decoration pretty basic, after a period of decline was subsequently used as a music room and restored Rococo style so really happy (1764): Rococo decorations are really well integrated (you can still see the original painting small parts), the superimposition of architectural styles is harmonious. Unfortunately it is not always open to visitors but in the presence of the ships in port Coast I always found open.

  • Francesco Della Rovere Pope Sixtus IV, alias # 212 of Roman history Church, was born in a fraction over Melbourne, studied at a Franciscan friars where the site you are viewing is part of his story. Here are buried in the tombs of her parents, dedicated to them the chapel Sistina. In this site wanted an expansion of a wing of the convent, which is still being renovated. The continuation of the masterpieces were made by his nephew, Pope Julius II born in Albisola, Pope # 216 of Roman history. It is open only on Saturdays from 10 am to 12.30 and afternoons from 16 to 18-12 and 10 a.m. on Sunday afternoon from 16 to 18 hours. (see pictures of the Billboard business hours) Special opening from 10 to 12 during the week coinciding Crociera.La ship Visit is strictly driven by Volunteers, friends of the ecclesiastical patrimony Savona offered to give you any explanation. Duration 15 minutes. Apartments of Pius VII: every Saturday at 16 and at 16.30 the fact that photography is forbidden I found it trivial (see photo), as there are many publications and photos, why prohibit to do some shooting remember? I find it really childish. The Sistine Chapel (XV) is located on the right side of the Cathedral Basilica of the assumption (former Church and convent of San Francesco) which is part of the monumental complex of the Cathedral (XVI) Franciscan cloister (XIII) this place is located in Piazza del Duomo. We are in the heart of the historic centre of Savona. (see photo) To get there by car/motorbike coming on the Via Aurelia, from the East to the West once in Savona, after Leon Pancaldo Tower you are in Via Gramsci (via Aurelia) you have to take in Via Pietro Giuria (one-way) continue for 200 meters turn right in Via Caboto in drive you arrive in Via Ambrogio Aonzo takes you in front of the Cathedral (see picture) Visit with pleasure you will discover a multitude of works of art (view more images) to find parking fee continue in Via Pietro Giuria, turn right in via Manzoni later walk can arrive by sea/Via Aurelia/Priamar area (see photo) along mt 150 Italy Course you will arrive in Piazza Giulio II (see photo) along Via Gabs mt50 (see picture) Via Manzoni 10 mt (see picture) Via mt 70 Serin (see photo) entry costs 2 is a contribution which serves the preservation of the monument. The magnificence of the Chapel is due to prospects of the arches of the Interior domes, its special uses of the predominant color, use of fillers particularly valuable that dominate the three-dimensional perspective (see photo), here as in the fine workmanship and use of marble Cathedral (see picture) the ticket office is shown in a piazza del Vescovado (see photo) where is a nice shop selling local handicraft souvenirs of characteristic details (see photo) is always Via Aonzo , the road that passes in front of the Cathedral (see picture) the ticket office instead we found inside the entrance of the Sistine Chapel (view more images) is a bit hidden by ongoing work repairing the Visual. (see photo) While waiting for the visit of the Sistine Chapel or visit the cathedral filled with Masterpieces ranging from the year X year 19TH inside down the right Church rests inside a glass case (see picture) the body still intact by Blessed 1110.In this church's Bishop of Savona Octavian resting some relics of Saint Valentine the patron saint of lovers. Fine blades (large Paintings) and Stairs , Baptisteries finely crafted marble (see photo) of Genoese and Ligurian Artists. Interesting pictures of Savona in 1500 Towered (see photo) with the Cathedral that stood in place before the Priamar (see photo/drawing) bookings outside the scheduled times are done via web or by phone, web site very interesting, good news offerings. I was very pleased by the good information offered by volunteer guides (see photo) some of them having a good age keep occupied with a passionate professionalism of experienced guides, this made me very happy. In town is missing some information on directions to this place, while some direction on the Cathedral of Savona is located, but too rare, I suggest you follow these. Add the visit of this fabulous but incomplete Sistine Chapel because still being restructured with other legitimate requests like the one of the apartments and the Interior of the Cathedral.
