Vialattea, Sauze d'Oulx

3.8
#1 of 11 in Winter Sports in Piedmont
Home to many events of the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics, Vialattea straddles the French-Italian border and spans five distinct resorts. Take your choice of 88 lifts to ski the 400 km (250 mi) of trails. You will find areas for all levels, though each resort has a different selection. Claviere is most suited to the intermediate skier, while Sestriere has some longer black runs and provides more options for the advanced. Montgenèvre is probably the best for beginners, though you can check out the resorts online to find which suits you best. Take the free buses that connect the resorts: often the lift connections are slower. For Vialattea and beyond, use our Sauze d'Oulx road trip planner to get the most from your Sauze d'Oulx vacation.

  • The ski resort of Way We weren't going to go. According to the plan we had district Briksentalle in Austria but with there 3 Jan it snowed and we decided to go to the Dolomites. We do not book in advance with the hotel at all. This has its disadvantages (going to the hotel, where there are vacant places, sometimes not the best), but also its pros (you can always move to another place). Two days we lived in Val Gardena, where on new year holidays an awful lot of people. But here, too, the weather turned bad. Searching on the website skiexpert.ru the resort where there is Sun, the choice fell on the Sistreere area. Free hotel Sauze d'Oulx was called Miravalle for 135 euros per night. First we lodged in a single room, where just two beds, then moved to a two-room suite, corner room (cool). The hotel is old, all beat up and posharpannoe. Ski room dryers don't work shoes remain raw. Had to take them with you into the room. At live mainly group from England. I want to tell you about the ski resort more. It consists of four ...

  • We had a big dump of snow just before we arrived so the skiing was wonderful, tempered only by poor visibility on a few days. Massive choice of beautiful slopes and we'll be back to do it again in 201...  more »

  • Not as gigantic as some French or Swiss centers, but still offers great variety of slopes and off pistes options - for unbeatable prices. Best price/offer ratio.
  • Good place to snowboard. Loads of runs and areas to explore, plenty of places to stop for beers and food
  • Great slopes. Wide, clean and not too crowded! The ski lifts are quite old.
  • Non c'è praticamente nulla se non ci sono eventi ma è un posto rilassante
  • one of the best Italian ski place. lots of ski runs well maintained!
