Cascate del Mulino, Saturnia

Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 2,400+ reviews on the web
Plunge into Cascate del Mulino, a natural thermal bath located in a spa town that has been inhabited since ancient times. At this location, 800 l (211 gal) of water gush into a large natural pond every second, flowing over a waterfall and down a series of natural pools carved into the rock. The water is comfortably warm at about 37 C (98.6 F), and is said to possess healing properties exploited since before the Roman era. Though the water is believed to be healthy, it also smells a bit like eggs because of its high sulfur content, so don’t wear your best swimsuit. There are no real tourist facilities here, so bring your own towel, slippers, and bathrobe, as well as some drinking water and a light snack. Put Cascate del Mulino into our Saturnia vacation generator and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • A must for any tour of Tuscany! It's hard to imagine that such a place is public and available completely free of charge. The water and the pool are awesome, skin filled wonderful after bathing. It is very relaxing! Water shoes recommended carefree move it to.

  • The baths of Gorello or falls mill, are beautiful, surrounded by nature, public and a bit wild in the sense that one must arrange a bit. Are located in the street of the terme Spa & Resort, just a little bit later. There is a big parking where you can leave your car. At the entrance there is a small bar, with tables, toilets and showers. The baths are totally free and free. Pleasant and beautiful, with many small and large pools. Are pretty crowded, but it exudes a "peaceful climate", without shouting. Bring everything, bathrobe, towel, maybe a bouncer or camping Chair. The costume is better if you wear already from home ... If you do not wish to change you into a very narrow bathroom or in the car. ...
