  • At 10 minutes from Sassari is an immense Beach in the Gulf of Asinara, never adequately appreciated by Sassari who often prefer other coasts, but it deserves accolades for both the almost infinite extension, both for transparency and cleaning of water, both for its beautiful pine forest that lies behind it.

  • It's a fairly long coastline that from Porto Torres to the tower height Abbacurrente prominently, reaches Marina di Sorso. I could say it's a normal beach as there are also here. It has various descents to the sea from the road, plus a few more inputs equipped with parking and bars and restaurants. we settled in the last area perhaps the most careful and quiet, with friendly and helpful, it was called Titanic and also the bar restaurant was not bad. Clean water, shallow and clear sand. clean beach especially of Sassari, especially in former areas where we noticed greater confusion. Sun beds and umbrellas €12 the second row. In the area in general are working trying to create new parks and renovations several towards marina di sorso to modernize it and revive Platamona after years of difficulty. We enjoyed the experience, and if you do not want to move too much is a good solution.

  • Shame really. A long beach with many descents to the sea if he had sand and water quality of the rest of the Island would be average among the top beaches. That is not the case with that of Platamona. In 2011 there was a spillage of hydrocarbons in water from a nearby Plant of Porto Torres. In my opinion if you can still see the effects. With my own eyes I saw the sand soaked by black oily substance for long stretches. Around the sand dunes dirt, neglect and abandonment. I didn't vote with bad only because if you have the car is like doing kilometres north and South you can reach the beautiful destinations of Alghero, Stintino, Castelsardo and Isola Asinara or Red North with its beaches. For a tourist plots instead to stay away.

  • Ideal for a ride along the sea promenade. Beautiful landscape with the presence of bars and pubs.

  • Clean sea, rather fine sand beach. Poorly equipped, with poor services. There is very little parking. It is not crowded.
