  • Unfortunately in this museum are only collected the artifacts found in surveys in recent years by the local archaeological group. the bulk of the finds of the past is the artistic luster of the museums of Florence and siena. Nonetheless, the exposure is admirable for its expressiveness, leaning on samples of the most remote eras capable of making us appreciate the evolution of the type of the Canopus, typical of the local pit chiusina. the Museum has some excellences to which deserves to be visited: primarily a series of archaic stone cippi fetid with beautiful and varied depictions in relief, also a reproduction of the tomb of the quadriga infernale, which can be visited on Saturdays by reservation (pamphlet from the reception!)

  • arrived in this medieval very well groomed and clean we went to the city's archaeological museum where you can buy the ticket for the tomb of infernal quadrille only open on Saturday. The Museum is well laid out with artifacts found in the surrounding area. Being the Tomb only open on Saturday in the Museum there is a faithful reproduction of the same for visitors to the Museum on other days. We recommend that you visit the website of the Museum to see winter opening days since the opening is scheduled only for the weekend.

  • More than a museum it is a permanent exhibition of Etruscan civilization cleverly organized into thematic sections spread over 4 floors and illustrated by a guide (free, included in the ticket price). Feel like you have stepped back a couple of millenniums. Highly recommended to anyone who is or, simply, is passing through or on vacation somewhere and want to spend a few hours steeped in history.
