  • After a long time we finally decided to visit this castle real sole reference of this country that is Sarmato (PC). Outside there are houses that are the village outside of the castle that still belong to today's lucky owners of the Castle. The visit takes about an hour or so, and is led by a young girl but very prepared and professional that really explains in detail the long history of this castle, seem to be involved in the very interesting story of the owners of that Fortress. One senses that this castle is still inhabited by the owners, so that you can visit only a small part of the rooms which are well 104!!! The Castle entirely furnished with furniture, books, silverware and whatnot to eras ranging from 400 to date. All this makes us dip into the past full of charm of these dynasties of accounts which have reigned in this castle. To visit as soon as possible! We thank the owners who allow us to visit this wonder!! Applaud the Guide really addictive in the story of the Castle.

  • Half-day excursion from Lodi to castello di Sarmato small but interesting village situated on the road linking Piacenza with Castel s. Giovanni a few kilometres from the river Po, in territory still flat. The Castle well preserved with its high tower and over 100 rooms is worth a visit that will take you to savor the discreet charm of lounges and sitting rooms with period furnishings and beautifully preserved frescoes still notable, then the number of rooms used for archive-studies with a series of books, prints, scrolls, bubbles with seals, notarized documents and correspondence relating to the different houses that have held any time the Manor. Even a visit to the extensive Italian garden that cleverly placed various inputs is almost an integral part with the interiors. The tour lasts one hour and is led by a young girl who with passion and competence sa ' capture participants ' attention even through the telling of anecdotes and vicissitudes of some of the characters who lived in the castle of Sarmato. Highly recommended for those who wish to combine their trip outside a touch of historical culture and research of the charm of the time.
