  • Our guide (FR) is talented and patient, always ready or meet our small curiosities and to give precise answers to our questions. We are a small group of laymen, but we have a thirst for knowledge. There we read Wikipedia; to live the same limestone basalt slabs Tharros devi who trod the Punic civilization first and then Roman; you have to plant yourself in the middle of the large paved square (oddly sloping), close your eyes and imagine the babbling of the over 10,000 inhabitants that have animated this place; you have to imagine yourself plunged into the waters of the baths or there, towards the tophet, to fight against the Mistral. The place is beautiful, who welcomes and very jovial and profession; the all inclusive ticket allows you to visit the Tower of San Giovanni and the nearby Museum of Cabras. The rest you have to put it on you, having the ability to present yourself naked before history, humbly.

  • I was there as a child and returned after more than 20 years. I think it is one of the most evocative archaeologically in Sardinia. It's amazing to see the different modifications made by the various peoples who have inhabited the place. A thanks also to the guide that was able to emphasize all facets of history and the geographical and architectural details.

  • the remains of the Phoenician town of Tharros offer an insight into the past of Sardinia. Beautiful place for both leisure culture with white sand beaches and crystal clear sea. Guides very prepared. the only drawback, lack of money and perhaps the fact that it is not an archaeological area well respected makes it a bit carried away, but this does not depend on the place or the person who works there

  • It's a nice place. Not loads to do, but it's worth visiting for a couple of hours. Interesting history but if you're used to seeing ruins such as Pompeii or Agrigento, then you might be a bit disappointed.

  • Extremely important Phoenician site.
