Stagno Notteri, Sardinia

(4.6/5 based on 10+ reviews on the web)
See flamingos in their natural habitat at Stagno Notteri. Besides the rare and renowned flamingos, the lagoon serves as a home for a number of other bird species, including gulls, great cormorants, and wading birds. Take a walk and relax by the tranquil lagoon, whose beaches host many bars and restaurants offering meals and refreshments. The lagoon, known for its azure-blue water, dries up in the summer months due to not having its own water source. • Come by chance, but love at first sight. Pond with flamingos, calcareous sand strip that separates from the sea where the sand becomes fine and a blinding white. The water has beautiful colors and is crystal clear. Swimming among schools of colorful fish. The lido is very well equipped. As for the Sardinians now their gwntilezza and professionalism doesn't surprise me anymore. To see!

  • Maybe it will be for the dry season and lack of precipitation but the pond Notteri I saw it reduced to half of what usually you see from pictures prominently displayed by the tourist offices. Classic pink flamingos absent, but present other water birds.
