  • We have also been taking the long way through the Valley and are there started at 12 noon. Unfortunately nowhere exactly says what time you need to plan a for the paid section of the ravine. Our experience at least 90 minutes. We climbed the part of green and yellow. Red definitely is discouraged for normal consumers, and alone I would definitely not recommend. The panorama is exceptional and appear to be located here giant have raged out. We had a great time and were against 17:30 back at the parking lot back.

  • For those who, like us, want to get to the Gorge from Dorgali Council to undertake the walk in a windy day fresh or because from where you leave your car (at a parking fee or further along the road) until the entrance of the canyon are about 6 km, not particularly strenuous as altitude difference, but very exposed to the Sun. Remember to leave not too late because by 17 can no longer access the canyon (admission € 5), wearing hiking boots and bring enough water even if along the way and near the entrance to find sources. The spectacle offered by nature is worth all the effort made to get there then ..., yoghurt!

  • Must visit in Sardegna. Just prepare good boots for walking down!
  • Brilliant - the canyon is worth every bead of sweat and every aching muscle. Awesome beauty on an island that has so many, unspoilt natural wonders. Gorropu was recommended by a local, and it was the icing on the cake of our trip. After 15 days of beaches, each more spectacular than the last, this inland break, trekking downhill to a pretty much undiscovered paradise, was great. The wardens are really informative.
  • A great place and handled very well by the guys subcontractors. You can travel alone, if sufficiently experienced, or you may be accompanied by guides. And in the evening rather than climb on foot you can use off-road. Fair prices perhaps also not at all expensive compared to what you can enjoy

  • Su gorroppu is a natural canyon created by the river flumineddu River, which flows underground for most of its course. You can go there after a distance of 4 km from genna silana pass, elevation 650 m descent on the outward journey (1.5 hours) climb back up (2.5 hours), the effort will pay off;). Another way to get there is a 6.5 km flatter from the Bridge Deck Is Abba arva. You can book an SUV to go and/or return. The entrance to the canyon is garrisoned and involves paying 5 euros for adults, 3.5 reduced. The canyon is approximately 1.5 km at its narrowest measures a mere 5 meters deep, is about 450 meters. The visit includes 3 times to the increasing difficulty, green, yellow and red. The Green requires a minimum of agility for some small passage not from classical walk but nothing complicated, yellow is a little more complicated. There are 2 steps that require the help of two ropes which are attached to the wall, finally one last piece where you have to climb on a rock climb quite smooth. The Red is only passable accompanied by guides and fitted with equipment (ropes). Along the way you have to be careful because the rocks are very smooth as polished by water. Strongly recommended trekking shoes. Useless sticks into the canyon but useful for approaching the Trek. Finally there is a vertical wall of about 400 meters between more complicated to climb in Europe. As for flora and fauna you can admire some rare plants and if you are lucky, falcons, eagles and mouflons. A must see at least once in your life
