  • Reserve a beautiful walk to the gap from the car park at Hotel Gorropu. This descends to the gap where you for 5 euros a fantastic piece of climbing and scrambling about the rounded rocks. Of course with a very beautiful landscape around you. We did this at the end of april when there is little/no water in the Gorge state what to do it right.

  • Sunday, absolutely unforgettable. We have relied to Fabrizio Chìntula society that has accompanied us by Jeep from the base camp of Gorropu until the bottom of the Valley. From there the hike up the canyon was very pleasant and undemanding (about 40 minutes). The path was well maintained, the branches were removed and the steepest points, at the end, there were ropes. The canyon is incredibly beautiful, the colors for the Majesty of rock faces that rise on either side. Fabrizio was very kind and gave us lots of useful information before entering into the canyon. I highly recommend to those who are not getting two hours and more than walk down off-road jeep because the path is still very nice and in addition the guide explains all the features of the flora and fauna in addition to those of the canyon. Visit not to be missed.

  • First of all, it is an amazing trip (I would say the best we did in Sardinia). Definitely, do not go when the weather is rainy as the way gets dangerous (the stones can get slippery and there might al...  more »

  • Must visit in Sardegna. Just prepare good boots for walking down!
  • Brilliant - the canyon is worth every bead of sweat and every aching muscle. Awesome beauty on an island that has so many, unspoilt natural wonders. Gorropu was recommended by a local, and it was the icing on the cake of our trip. After 15 days of beaches, each more spectacular than the last, this inland break, trekking downhill to a pretty much undiscovered paradise, was great. The wardens are really informative.
  • I visited this canyon in July. The trail was a little challenging, some points are quite steep and despite the heat, it was worth it. The landscape is impressive and shows that the beauty of Sardinia lies not only in its coasts, but also in the Interior.

  • The canyon is absolutely magnificent. To see and follow with admiration and transport. Although a bit overpriced I find useful jeep transfers, played with courtesy and professionalism. I find it irritating the entrance ticket. Although only 5 euros that sounds like classic excuse to shell out money to tourists, since it is not a guided tour and the Hudson canyon-thank goodness-everything is very natural (without gangways and the like that would spoil the experience).

  • Three levels of difficulty of the route inside the Gorge. After you can exit without charges and without a guide. Quite easy to lose the trail.
