  • We hiked to Su Gorropu from the Fiumineddu valley, same approach as for Tiscali. It's a longish hike in and return, about 15k in total, not difficult but a bit of a grind with little in the way of vie...  more »
  • You can choose how far you decide in the Gorge; It is always a step more difficult. a must

  • The largest Canyon in Europe, only accessible by a scenic trek through a semi wooded landscape. The majestic entrance hides walls with challenging climbing route and breathtaking views. The visit will exponentially increase of difficulty along the Canyon, until reaching its closure where it is possible to admire the beautiful ponds.

  • Must visit in Sardegna. Just prepare good boots for walking down!
  • Brilliant - the canyon is worth every bead of sweat and every aching muscle. Awesome beauty on an island that has so many, unspoilt natural wonders. Gorropu was recommended by a local, and it was the icing on the cake of our trip. After 15 days of beaches, each more spectacular than the last, this inland break, trekking downhill to a pretty much undiscovered paradise, was great. The wardens are really informative.
  • I visited this canyon in July. The trail was a little challenging, some points are quite steep and despite the heat, it was worth it. The landscape is impressive and shows that the beauty of Sardinia lies not only in its coasts, but also in the Interior.

  • The canyon is absolutely magnificent. To see and follow with admiration and transport. Although a bit overpriced I find useful jeep transfers, played with courtesy and professionalism. I find it irritating the entrance ticket. Although only 5 euros that sounds like classic excuse to shell out money to tourists, since it is not a guided tour and the Hudson canyon-thank goodness-everything is very natural (without gangways and the like that would spoil the experience).

  • Three levels of difficulty of the route inside the Gorge. After you can exit without charges and without a guide. Quite easy to lose the trail.
