Capo Testa, Santa Teresa Gallura

(4.8/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
The protected beaches of Capo Testa are a magnet for swimmers. The rocky, granite peninsula, which is attached to Sardinia's mainland by an isthmus, is only about ten kilometers (6.2 miles) across. The Romans once used the small peninsula to mine the granite for their magnificent cities. The caves where the stone was quarried were last used as a source of building materials in the early 20th century. Pull on a pair of shoes with a strong grip and hike around the eroded rocks to admire the formations smoothed and shaped by the wind. Capo Testa is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Santa Teresa Gallura Edition.

  • Awesome place to visit, February is not the right month to give justice to these places but definitely a magical place that has to be seen.

  • Is an extension of santa Teresa Gallura on which sights are among the most beautiful in Sardinia. Beautiful also the walks to do on easy trails.

  • Beautiful beach with crystal clear sea. We were there in late October, but caught the Sun and swimming seemed to be in June. I fear that in the summer, July/August, it is very difficult to go there because full of people. However a true paradise!

  • It's impressive! Those rocks looks like bones, very curious. The path is not so difficult but I recommend to use appropriated shoes.
  • Beautiful rocky playground for hippy living, slackline waterlines and parkour!
  • Great photo shoot.
  • Great place, especially in light of the sunset. Amazing rocks, a nice view of the coast of Bonifacio (Corsica). The beautiful lighthouse. Do not forget the path that leads to Cala della Luna and visit the archaeological site, on the way to Capo Testa

  • Must-visit place if you are in the area. Offers a breathtaking spectacle with its rocks smoothed by time and the arm of the sea, threatening, separating us from corsica. I visited at dusk, the warm glow of the Sun and the colours of the place made the magic moment, indelible.
