The Museum of chimney sweeps is surrounded by a beautiful park. The whole town shows a particular devotion for chimney sweeps, culminating in the first we of September in a real world gathering! The museum itself is small and made the old fashioned way, with an exhibition of photos and tools of the trade. I find that a visit to young citizens is necessary to remind those occupations that are now forgotten.

Is an experience that must be done, you back in time and understand the situations that you have remotely imagined ... I knew the work of chimney sweeps because I was being told by a gentleman who was a little "Rusca" and was telling me about the suffering that trigger these children ...

the world of chimney sweeps is a reminder of the Mary Poppins movie and so long ago that those otherwise young people like myself could live: the spzzacamino arrived by bike screaming "chimney sweeps" and the housewives going down the street calling him: things on the other days. in this Museum, including photographs, videos, music, various implements there is narrated the whole story of chimney sweeps, thankless job that sometimes led to death, with so much charm. Visiting this museum we realize how hard life for these craftsmen were also acrobats walking on roofs as of funnambuli. worth a visit. Tip: join the party of spazzaccamini which takes place in the fall at Santa Maria Maggione, where we witness the parade of chimney sweeps from all over the world: we are the sco0zzesi with the Kilt, the Japanese with their dress, Australians, Canadians, ... Only attending their parade you realize how many countries they come from.

  • This museum is dedicated to the chimney sweepes: for ages (XVI-XX) the valley has provided young teenagers for this job in the metropolitan areas. And for some families was the only income available. The yearly event in August attracts sweepers from all over the world. The miseum in itself unfortunately is a bit poor in terms of evidences. It should be enriched and enlarged. But it deservs a visit.
  • Small museum only like, a glimpse of a recent past little known. Small interactive area on the first floor. Visiting hours are limited.

  • In a small space is concentrated the story of an ancient work done by adults and many children

  • Recommended to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the culture of chimney sweep. An art if we may so call it that now is increasingly decreasing. You realize how much the world has changed in a few years (thank goodness). Economic input (2 €/testa) good

  • The Museum is beautiful and well cared for. It is not very big and this is the only flaw, deserves more space
