  • Like all sites Kyle, is poorly advertised and mortified. It would take a good project for the re-evaluation of all the archaeological sites of the city

  • Quick smattering of what may represent the Gladiators for that time. You should better exploit a universal myth as Spartacus

  • Within a city worth visiting for its numerous historical and artistic presence, Campanian Museum rich in archaeological finds. The highlight is the Matres matutae, tufa statues representing a seated woman with several children in her arms. Mothers are uniquely beautiful and represent a rare document of pre-Imperial sculpture. Enjoy!!!

  • Great time out. An even better coloseium than the one of Rome. You need to see the hidden extras. Great great great.
  • The Archaeological Museum of ancient Capua is located in the heart of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The establishment of the Archaeological Museum of ancient Capua was born from the need to present, according to the most modern exhibition criteria, the materials released into the light during the excavations carried out in the second half of the 20th century in what was once the territory of Capua. Since December 2014 the Museum, the amphitheatre and the mitreo are passed to the Polo museale della Campania. The tour duration is approximately 30 minutes. Is not very large and the exhibits are few. Most of the time you can find pottery and gears of war and work. It is a ten minute walk from the amphitheatre Campano. Definitely worth visiting because the entrance is inclusive of other attractions in Santa Maria Capua Vetere including the mithraeum, the amphitheatre Campano. Tickets cost just € 2.50.

  • Very small but interesting Museum. Honestly I was expecting a little more. There are still pieces well maintained that deserve to be seen. Staff totally absent ... At the entrance they asked simply if I had the ticket without actually control it. The empty Museum ... Not a keeper or a guard. Any attacker would quietly could harm undisturbed ...

  • Small but with so many interesting exhibits even older than 2000 years it would take a little more light is a lot of TLC

  • This museum offers a vast collection of archaeological finds of Roman late Antiquity, with many Greek influences (for geographical location known as "Magna Greece"). The "resting Satyr" by Praxiteles is a sculpture of considerable fame which is not to be considered bland.
