  • The amphitheater is just fascinating, absolutely worth visiting, its partial state of preservation allows you to watch the property "section". Moreover, thanks to the leaders of the Consortium "clouds" (which collaborate with the archaeological complex) who welcomed us and causing us to completely submerge in the history, the visit was beautiful. The place really deserves, I recommend you bring comfortable shoes, especially if you choose in full path (Museum + mithraeum + amphitheatre). The complete tour requires at most one morning, but so worth it, it really is very inexpensive. A big thank you for this beautiful experience we would definitely stay at summer for events offered by the site. Cultural Association Areté

  • A masterpiece of Roman times in fairly good condition, unfortunately little known even in the area. A worthwhile enhancement and much more publicity. What you see is an architectural colossus who at the time was to be a stateliness and a unique centuries used pomp unfortunately as a source of quality materials to build other majestic public and private works, including the same Castle of Capua. It was only with the Bourbons that this painful work ended and the monument was adequately protected from looting of materials. It lives on in the form of paving stones, marble palaces and the castle throughout the district. Currently the area outside is kept in order and a small adjacent building is a Museum of the Gladiator (inside a reconstruction of "glacis" that shows us how magnificent this amphitheatre campano. Fully accessible even the basement, where I lay here and also columns and blocks of marble that deserve a better placement. A real shame not to make it a driving force for the economy and culture of the place! The entrance fee you can buy in the bar-restaurant next door and, at a cost of €2.5, also provides access to the archaeological museum. I highly recommend a visit!

  • A piece of history of our civilisation, is practically a Colosseum in miniature. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Delicious even the Museum of the Gladiators. Not everyone knows that this is the land of Spartacus

  • Beautiful place! Quiet and romantic.Hard to believe it’s over 2000 years old. Amazing!
  • Great experience, better that the colloseum in Rome because you get to go down through the underground tunnels. Took a total of an hour for my family to go through. Parking was free, however, it's limited collection ro the entrance. Some interesting history, but everything there is in Italian and not translated. I did research beforehand and taught my children as we went through. I definitely recommend!
  • Awesome. As amazing if not more amazing than the coliseum
  • Great experience, great atmosphere without being busy. You can sit and imagine what it was like in the times of Spartacus without having to move on due to the crowds. It needs a little restoration / cleaning and needs more info boards for English speaking tourists. This place could be soooo much more and I hope that one day it will be as I would visit again so see the amphitheater that once rivalled Rome's.
  • Wonderful gladiatorial arena with a small museum next to it. You can explore most of it since most areas are full access. Very cheap entrance fee.
