  • We went in a party in June. Gardens are very beautiful at this time, excellent service and an impressive view. We will never forget this event, the place is unique.  more »
  • First, do not take the car. Park, not on the street because for sure you get a fine, but indoor parking in Santa Margherita (Hotel Miramare €2 per hour). Walk from there to Cervara is 5 minutes max. We come to Cervara. first of all make sure to visit the Interior, if not for the Church, bare, and a hallway that you need to take to get into the garden ... e basta! Is incorrect Mr. Macbain to charge €12 to visit only a garden that is beautiful, nothing to say, .... but who is, like us, are induced to visit because she believes visiting the Abbey Cervara and not just the garden. Among other things you don't plan to be there as much as you want between the Green, the tour lasts 50 minutes and is marked by very precise rules. Very smart owners make cash with wedding receptions and round with guided tours, strictly so that it cannot go where you want. I repeat ... is incorrect but much to you that you give a. ..

  • The medieval Abbey of Cervara, privately owned, has been restored in an excellent manner about twenty years ago. But now, after centuries of transformations of use, has become more like a magnificent location for events (congresses, weddings, etc.). Of the ancient monastic simplicity remained the beautiful church (still open for worship) and nothing more. The tour, which takes about 50 minutes, has a cost that I frankly appears exaggerated: 12 euro (the Uffizi talking costing 8!!). The beautiful cloister is elegant but somewhat fake, like the clock on the watchtower. The Interior of the building are basically off limits as a private dwelling. Very beautiful is the well maintained grounds overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Tigullio, which alone is worth the visit (but not at 12 euros!). The blooms are related of course to the seasons: the jewel in the Crown is a gigantic old blossoming Wisteria between March and April. Even in may, on a day not really stunning, we did however find several beautiful plants. The guide is good and professional but not fail to stress the use mundane environments, perhaps to publicize them. In conclusion, let us say that knowing the price, I was expecting to see something more.
