After leaving the car in the first parking lot found, go up a piece of the hill where there are some small stations before reaching the Callies event dedicated to our Lady, deaf and dumb Shepherdess miracle that gave origin to the place of devotion which currently is. The view is spectacular, it dominates the Valley and even on a gloomy day like yesterday; can we have coffee at the rooftop bar and restaurant and then off to Put inside the cave. It was very cold (about ten degrees) but the excitement to make this place so special was that they do not suffer from temperature: also revise the statue dedicated to our Pope John Paul XXIII, Bergamo his photographs in recollection before being elected Pope, the testimonies of those who have received a pardon, the water that flows from the mountain and that is "blessed" by the presence of our Lady In short, a combination capable of giving serenity and tranquility to us living a busy life but that we are still able to appreciate little things to recharge our batteries.show original

Actually it's well worth a visit for the natural characteristics that set it apart: the statue of the Virgin Mary is kept in a large cave that I don't think have similarities in Italy. This sanctuary was much loved by Pope John XIII and is also possible to visit a small room where the Holy Pontiff withdrew during his tenure. The locality is situated in a fantastic location and from the terrace you can admire a fantastic show. The site gives a great feeling of peace and is stored and maintained very well; the site is organized to receive groups of pilgrims very numerous (restaurant, bar and services) but, luckily for me, when I went with my family and some acquaintances there was so many people and it was possible to enjoy the quiet and gather in silence.show original
Jeanclaude Noirnow it's been years that I go to this shrine, beautiful in his humility and simplicity, beautiful peace is laid, then ... looking at the small icons of our Lady of Sorrows ... peace, joy, and many "problems" no longer exist, see only she who gives his son who gave himself to us!! you just need to open our hearts and you ... makes the miracle!show original
Alex BorghiBeautiful sanctuary, the Church is carved into a natural cave, and is quite impressive. If you go after it rained the cave is damp and rain drops fall from the top of the cave, there is a path in the woods which is kind of a way of the cross with 7 chapels. Legend has it that find the madonna was a shepherd, waiting for a sign from God to reveal their existence, and when a Shepherdess deaf mute beginning to speak and hear, he revealed the existence of the madonna. They wanted to take her to a sanctuary, but all attempts failed, and so did the cave Church.show original
