  • Usually, for my visits to regions particularly suitable, I choose local producers with large and historic cellar, to breathe the atmosphere of past rural shades that I love so much: this is the only thing that does not find yourself during your transition to az. AGR. Banda! (The basement of course there is, but of modern invoice, not give particular architectural interest). Everything else will be at your disposal: a substantial and comprehensive tasting, warm; the opportunity to buy a good quality product at reasonable prices; Nice entertainment and rich wine culture on the part of managers; bucolic panoramas in the background and also the possibility of completing the rest of the day discovering other hidden jewels around, like the nearby beautiful Pieve. Thanks Charles, next time I will bring with me our Moscato di Scanzo ... to "supplant" your recioto!!!

  • We passed by this beautiful farm on a Saturday morning. We were fortunate to be able to enjoy the company of Mr. Mario, who escorted us to the discovery of its wines, particularly the refresher. Recommended for those who want to appreciate the environment of a farm that is able to make you appreciate the area of valpolicella classico.

  • We picked this winery out at random from the tourist map & arrived without making an appointment. Despite this Carlo welcomed us with open arms & spent a long time showing us his wines & explaining the special process used to make Ripasso & Amarone. He even showed us the shed where the newly harvested grapes were drying.
  • Nice winery run by very friendly people. We got a nice wine tasting and after that a lift back to our B&B. The wines are good and very well priced. We phoned ahead to check if they're open, which is recommended, as they might be out in the vineyards.
  • Visiting Boscaini Carlo is a great way to learn more about wines made in Valpolicella. We did our tasting with one of the owners, Carlo, and he told us about the history of the vineyard, which has been making wine for 3 generations. We loved all his wines, especially the amarone. In addition to the wines being delicious, they are also very fairly priced! Definitely a great experience.
  • Fantastic wine.
  • If you are looking for authentically produced, full-bodied but smooth-drinking Amarone and Ripasso wines then look no further. Produced by two brothers, Carlo and Mario Boscaini in a beautiful valley beneath the ancient church of San Giorgio, this really is a gem of an estate and well worth a visit. Give them a ring first in case they are out in the fields and they will give you a warm welcome. I visited with a group last year and the wines were truly superb. I see their Ripasso Zane 2006 just had an award in Decanter magazine. Catch it while you can.
