  • Quaint chestnut tree located in the Etna Park in the municipality of s. Alfio, you inevitably suffer the charm thanks to its legend of the horses of which leaves tied. Must see on the occasion of the feast, we recommend to visit

  • We should be more proud of such a monument: 2000 or maybe even 4000 years for a tree are the sign of an ancient civilization, that has no equal in the world. Yet there are those who know the General sherman in Redwood park, and not this chestnut a few kilometers from our home. (including me, until a few days ago, ashamed). Town of Sant'Alfio: congratulations on the preparation and care of the area around the tree, but tell your printer to trust that Messenger is spelled with two G's, damn;)

  • In summer its great canopy will protect you from the Sun. This tree, the oldest known tree that produces edible fruits, yet has a history and charm that runs through the millennia and at the same time stopping time. To visit with guide or after being documented.

  • Despite the fires, lightning and humanity of the last millennia, this great sage continues to live and remind us that we are helpless in front of the power of nature.
