  • Dear friends and dear friends of Tripadvisor could linger in your wandering out of Sant'Agata will enter the Cathedral. For the Jubilee year is Mr mckittrick's path to those wishing to get an indulgence plenaria....ma not only from a historical point of view the Cathedral: the exterior consists of a large three-Bay porch supported by twelve columns with capitals. The main entrance in the Romanesque style, similar to that of the Church of San Menna, has the two sides two pairs of columns with Corinthian capitals. In the 17th century Baroque stucco were added. To the left of the façade of the Cathedral is the Bell Tower, with three orders with cowl with yellow and green majolica tiles. The Interior has a Latin cross with three naves, a transept, dome and presbytery. In the side chapels are located several valuable works of art framed by Baroque stucco with altars in polychrome marble. The ceiling of the nave is painted and gilded wooden boards, opera of the 19th century while the high altar, set well back from the original position is inlaid polychrome marble. Below the transept is the Romanesque crypt, where many times rest on columns of carryover while the walls are visible several traces of frescoes.

  • Remarkable work, set in the center of town. Mostly restored, but preserves, and well, numerous testimonies of the past. Point out unquestionably the huge stained door.
