  • The Hermitage of Montecasale is walking distance from Sansepolcro and easily accessible. There is ample parking for cars. It's a magnificent place, overwhelmed by beautiful Woods. There are so many coffee tables, both in wood stone where you can make picnic. A place to cool off in summer. For lovers of hiking this is the place ... There are infinite paths and from here you can reach many many locations ... Obviously Montecasale is part of one of the stages of the Franciscan Street which starts from Verna and arrives at Assisi. There are two beautiful fresh water sources and good to drink. For those parties recommend making a stop here, a mix of nature, peace and relaxation.

  • The Hermitage of Monte Casale owes its fame to Saint Francis, that he had a gift in 1212 and making you dwell more times: we stopped for the last time in 1224, when performed her last journey from his beloved rock de La Verna in Assisi. The Hermitage is situated on the old road, passing from Alpe della Luna Mountains, bore from Sansepolcro to brands over the cows. The Hermitage of Monte Casale has undergone over the centuries various alterations, renovations and expansions. In the Church, in the spine of the high altar, walnut, carved by a friar in the 17th century, is a statue of Madonna with child dated as 13th century era. In the small harvest ceramic squares are 1600 choir depicting episodes of the life of St. Francis.
