  • Located at the top of the old city, nice panoramic view of San remo has inside of beautiful paintings and beautiful marbles, façade renovation, accessible on one side by a street or the alleys of the pigna... more tourism and sports...

  • March 2018. The façade is completely doorman, with scaffolding in front so you can't see anything. The Interior is small but very nice. The height allows for a comprehensive view of the city and the sea, but we found this disappointing. There is nothing to do around. The street is small enough to go by car and it is not easy to Park

  • The sanctuary was built on a hill at 100 meters above sea level and dominates the historic district of Sanremo della Pigna (in fact walk is quite difficult) and we can find open we had to go twice. Beautiful the yard and the road that leads to the shrine is made of red bricks and small white stones to form a a very nice design. Externally around the Shrine is in a sling and covered by tarpaulins as there are some works of securing and various restorations. Within a large number of wooden statues of many saints, Saint Anne and Joachim, Saint Elizabeth, Saint Zechariah, Saint John the Baptist and Saint John the Evangelist and St. Joseph (white painted to imitate marble). Beautiful wooden crucifix above one of the altars of 1723, the Panel with Madonna and child of 1380 and the painting of the Madonna della Costa. Beautiful decorations with stucco and frescoes.

  • Beautifully designed Church which is located in a closed area on one side with gate. The land to the Church and is what noble acts before the light beige Church mosaic decorated with bright and dark stones. The front of the Church has split on both sides two pillar-like Struts, halfway through crossbars, as it wanted to separate a floor. Embedded in a large ornamental version of the name Sanctuarium. About this part of a Crosspiece which carries a small semicircular porch again. It is a Skupturengruppe of two Angels supporting a shield with Golden inscription on a large Crown and throne a cross. On both sides ever a bell tower with a bulbous roof protrude the ensemble in the height, adapted. Bow Windows are applied as ornament. A large dome, which corresponds to the location of the altar rises back. Inside, a rich sacral design welcomes the visitor. numerous sculptures and some oil paintings adorn the nave about niche in the altar. In the altar, a group of sculptures with a painting of Mary and Corona in an arched niche is embedded between two large, turned columns. The various vaulted ceilings show wonderful ceiling paintings up in the dome above the altar. The floor with black and white squares, is outside of the patterning an indirectly similar adaptation to the ground given. No doubt's is a jewel of sacral design, that probably not only friends of the Arts under its spell draws.

  • A magical place and a must visit and maybe have chance to hear the magical 18th century organ which leads the soul to rise to the most high. A symbolic place for Sanremesi, built according to the ancient legend from a seaman, saved himself from the fury of the Corsairs, who launched a subscription for the construction of this beautiful Sanctuary around 1770. The sanctuary of the Madonna della Costa, so nicknamed for its dominance and visible from the sea up to 10 miles away (20 km) on a clear day, and even at night thanks to its extraordinary illumination, was later protagonist thanks to his Madonna of many other miracles, witnessed by the population of Sanremo. An extraordinary example of 18th-century Baroque art and wondrous art, culminating in the image of the Madonna and child main figure of the altar, designed by Nicolò da Voltri of 1300-1400 that has become the symbol of our Lady of the coast. Obliged a glance upward, where the frescoes in the Dome and nave but magnificence are truly example of splendour of this shrine. In short a visit not to be missed, this jewel of Sanremo
