  • The castle of Sanluri was built by Pisanos to counter the attacks of the Giudicato of Arborea, from 1188 until 1355 approximately and currently restored to receive visitors. Inside, in a sort of Garden we can observe a vast collection of objects of torture as a pillory (two pieces of metal or wood with a hinge at one end or padlocks and 3 holes: one for the head and the other 2 for hands) the famous hanging cages among other artifacts of medieval torture, all framed by the imposing medieval style castle and around the outer perimeter of the Castle are displayed weapons of heavy artillery, anti-aircraft guns of various calibers, all of the second world war, catapults of wood from the middle ages, all displayed on the outskirts of the Castle, which is extraordinary. It is a really touching attraction if we consider the history of the Castle and the place, highly recommended, it is open every day from 9:30 h to 13:00 h and 15:30 h to 19:00 h.
