  • Near the Cathedral is the fifteenth-century Church of the ancient hospital founded by the Confraternita dei Battuti. Beside the entrance to the old baptismal stone base and canopy in carved and gilded wood, delivered at the beginning of the century. Very particular entrance door.

  • Unfortunately a little too hasty visit to this ancient city, rich in history. The Church is located not far from the Cathedral with its slender steeple and definitely worth a visit for its beautiful portal, the fake marble tiles of its nave and frescoes in the apse. Point out the beautiful stretches of walls and towers.

  • The Church, 1400 end, is part of the Battuti hospital and today is desecrated. Inside is the most beautiful frescoes by Pordenone and his son-in-law Pomponio Amalteo. The simple façade, the beautiful portal was realized by Pilacorte, very active in the area between 1400 and 1500. The high relief in the Lunette depicts the Annunciation with carved above the eternal father. The bas-relief is the Madonna of mercy with the mantle protects members of the Confraternita dei Battuti. The Interior has a single nave and the presbytery is entirely covered by frescoes with stories of Mary, attributed to the painter Amalteo. Beautiful, vivid colors, the assumption of Mary. Beautiful also the two frescoes on the sides of the entrance of the presbytery. Interesting the altar with statues of the Blessed Virgin and the Saints Peter and John the Baptist.
