Many QAYYUM and Holm aligned offer a beautiful shaded area, a kind of chiaroscuro, which makes the walk in search of mushrooms very pleasant. A fresh scent almost intoxicating ... and many wild animals: a beautiful autumn picture (since the time of our visit), but I'm sure it must be just as nice in the summer, a beautiful refuge when the city is suffocating.show original

From Castrovillari along the SA/RC northbound exit at Campotenese or along the old SS 19 between FIR, beech and chestnut trees you get to Campotenese where clambering through untouched nature you get to COLLE SAN MARTINO from which we can see the valley below and on a picnic area where you can stop and breathe fresh air at about 1100 meters above sea level. There is a church dedicated to our Lady of Mount Carmel, built in the 19th century and backed by a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary and where there are the ruins of an old Fort Bourbon. Tell the Chronicles of the time that it was a place where the robbers plundered the wayfarers and here are the reasons for the construction of an altar for the prayers of the faithful and a Fort garrisoned by soldiers to help passers-by if made of banditry. A place where you can, in the autumn, finding mushrooms and run into herds of cows in the wild.show original

Beautiful landscapes, tasty food and charming villages. And, a great fun for drivers with the right ride.
Piero PetrisanoWith its peaks and green and deep valleys is an unforgettable spectacle that takes your breath away ... To visit in all seasons but for me it is beautiful in the spring. The food then is high quality: cheeses, breads in a wood oven, cold meats and fine wines. Still tied to traditions and lie together genuineness and moderately priced.show original
