  • Got da Praia exit at Campotennese and from there to the Impiso. You can park along the road on the last Sunday of September counted about twenty cars. Directions for clear however after only 100 m do not be fooled by the wide dirt track but diverted right uphill, where are the paths CAI also reported through beechwoods and pastures after about an hour and a half you get to Plan Gaudolino and from here begins the true Ascension to Pollino. You get to the top in a couple of hours first plunged into the Woods. then after some rocks open plans of Pollino which lead to the Summit where the eye wanders to 360 degrees and it's great emotion. Here a group of women in Lauria offers us a delicious sandwich al salam, thanks again! (one of the guys was the restaurant Cazzanedda) Easy hike (a little out of breath at the end) and well signposted unlike other parts of Calabria. Oops sorry, here we are in Basilicata!

  • In its vastness, the Pollino National Park, offers enchanting landscapes and unspoilt, made of fresh water and air, radiant lights green, pristine. I note in particular Woods Magnano and stream fish pond, where on Sundays, will also find a small market of local products such as cheese, fruit and mushrooms, in the right time. A bet on the sanctuary of the Madonna del Pollino is almost obligatory, albeit at the cost of covering some 20 km (from the Woods mentioned before) of narrow, winding streets, climbing up to over 1500 m altitude of the shrine but beware: you'll find it only open from mid June to mid September, but if you happen to get there even at this time you will have the opportunity to enjoy the autumn landscape from Basilicata, which is a stunning beauty, well worth the effort

  • They were three days of relaxation in contact with nature. The Pollino National Park has many attractions, but see them all in a few days is impossible, so we made choices. The first day we arrived in the afternoon, having little time we went on the scenic area of the carousel and we had a nice walk in the nearby woods where you can find mushrooms, but often you can admire even the squirrels in the trees. The next day again Woods in the area of forest M and then the inevitable path of Thundering Stones. It is a path along the brook that creeping into rocks produces sounds deaf and constant; wonderful under forest composed of ferns, Moss, wild cyclamen and strawberry seedlings. It's like a magical place inhabited by elves and fantastic creatures. To end the day we were walking around in the Park reaching Piano Ruggio where we had the chance to admire the horses that live in the wild. It was beautiful! Breathtaking views and kilometres of wilderness! We went from the roundabout and then from Viggianello village perched on a rocky outcrop. Finally the sunset in the mountains of Pollino, lovely!

  • Beautiful landscapes, tasty food and charming villages. And, a great fun for drivers with the right ride.
  • In addition to the bigger the better! Breathtaking, unspoiled and spectacular villages. Council the crest of infinity, the plans of Pollino and the garden of the gods. Good adventure!

  • With its peaks and green and deep valleys is an unforgettable spectacle that takes your breath away ... To visit in all seasons but for me it is beautiful in the spring. The food then is high quality: cheeses, breads in a wood oven, cold meats and fine wines. Still tied to traditions and lie together genuineness and moderately priced.
