  • I happened to pass by again from Miradolo and I try to visit another exhibition, this time dedicated to landscape designer Pietro Porcinai. This is a very interesting character, the exhibition unfortunately not. The photographs are very few, at least three are exhibited on walls that could accommodate three times as much. Some walls are occupied by a single sketch of a giant project, interesting mostly to figure out how much of the project would show: porticoes, Cascades, ad hoc architectural elements, all components that you can see from the drawing by the artist and tragically highlighted the shortcomings of this view. The project is interesting, where are the photos? Some details of trees and meadows, a few pictures of pools are by no means exhaustive. Even the written description puts mournfully out everything that could be shown and it wasn't. Would be expected as a minimum plans and elevations that illustrate each work in its entirety, but there's none of that. At the end of the tour, you'd think, "well, I discovered a fine artist, I'd like to see an exhibition of his work." Everything for the exorbitant price of 10 euros each, but no refund so who does not possess the tile museums. Perhaps places like this count on the fact that those who now owns the Museum subscription (and we are many) does more too if the price being included in the annual cost of the card. It is shown that with ticket you are entitled to visit the Park, which is simply the plants and trees of species selected but it is of no interest to anyone not involved in Botany, it lacks any particular feature as a project and layout. It is understood that the architecture of the castle is remarkable and has been restored very well, but not enough to make me want to go back.

  • Noble building of great architectural and historical interest. If you are in the area a park is to be expected.

  • We visited the Castle inside, but we only saw the Park. Having been there decanted at the entrance (cost well 5 euros) left me totally indifferent. I found neglected and not exploited in the different potential that instead could have. Do two pellets in the vote for the Castle, otherwise a cue ball park was more than enough.
