  • In fact, in Italy there is anything like this: a large rectangular square occupied almost entirely by an ancient hot spring water coming out from the sources you'll see bubbling on the opposite side to the porch that occupies one of side. Even the buildings that surround it are architecturally interesting and the small village offers other corners nice and well kept with many spots where you can taste especially the wine and cheese for which the Val d'Orcia and the surrounding areas are renowned. Conversing with a job to one of them told me that the influx has increased during the summer months, without thinking that the baths are especially beautiful in autumn and winter. I have unforgettable memories of a cold day where the tank was a light mist. If you want to bathe in the pool of the Hotel Posta Marcucci is open to everyone at low prices but not exorbitant. However, if the primary purpose is to immerse yourself in the warm thermal water, there are better solutions as Bagni San Filippo and for those who can afford the settlement of San Casciano dei Bagni.

  • A large pool is at the center of the square. all around, I think, the period houses of the Lords. On one of the short sides of the tub is a fine porch. For those who find this enjoyable place I would recommend to visit the ruins of old mills, with all the interesting water ducts, just a few hundred meters from the square.

  • I don't know if there are other examples of square d water but is really curious this microscopic village with huge bath warm thermal water. It is worth stopping, visiting can also be done in a few minutes, but don't miss the chance to make a stop at one of the restaurants around the square
