  • You can get there on foot from the Centre of San Miniato, making a short not (altho long) flight of stairs. Eventually you arrive at this beautiful terrace where stands the Rocca, with 360 degrees views available. Phenomenal.

  • Who goes to San Miniato cannot but go to rocca to admire the view of the surrounding countryside. You can reach both day and night, although not always the rock can be visited inside

  • San Miniato is a nice small town on the top of the hill. A small walk to the top of the tower is worth the view. This tower is part of a serie of towers. At each hilltop you had one of those towers. T...  more »

  • Amazing views! Saw it in the distance while driving Pisa to Florence. Stopped and took the hike to the top of the tor! It was quiet and had amazing views in all directions!
  • On top of the highest hill of San Miniato, the tower is the most obvious remains of the facilities wanted by Frederick II. Now is a small island of greenery and peace from which dominate and admire the country and val d'arno. Definitely worth the not too many steps that separate it from the city.

  • Splendid monument with a wonderful panoramic view. The tower is beautiful, restored and well preserved.

  • La rocca di San Miniato at its Summit, in addition to the torre di Federico II has a circular garden where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city but also the surrounding hilly countryside. To get there, there are a number of ladders are non-binding but which make it very difficult to access for the disabled and tiring with strollers.

  • The view is superb. Unfortunately I have not found the Tower open to the public (in August) and maintenance of the area doesn't seem appropriate (some dirt scattered).
