  • Delicious and beautiful village with a beautiful panoramic view. I parked in Piazza del Popolo in front of the 14th century Church of San Domenico, bordering a cloister, where is located the Archeological Museum. Afterwards, I reached the nearby town along narrow streets and picturesque, truffle oil, rich in evidence of the past: medieval palaces, Renaissance statues, churches (much remodeled or rebuilt from scratch). A first stop at Piazza della Repubblica, with workshops of 1300 and 1600 graffiti (stayed Napoleon). Through an arched portico you reach the Cathedral altered several times in fact, Romanesque interior structures are covered with marble. The square the palazzo vescovile and palazzo dei vicari of the Emperor (seems to have given birth to Matilda of Canossa). From the square to the lawn of the rock on which stands the Tower of Frederick rebuilt in 1958 (1200). The view from here, at 360 degrees, is lovely. A moment of serenity and light-heartedness ideal for eating out and eating a sandwich.

  • The Centre of San Miniato is only one way, from where there are other viuzzole, but "less important" in the sense that there are great things to see. On this street you will find most of the sights of San Miniato, from historical buildings, to the finest restaurants. Only one who stays outside is the fortress, but you can get there in 5 minutes on foot

  • The center of this country is not very big, but rich in history and historic buildings. Has nothing to envy to the most famous medieval villages, if you happen to these you must visit it absolutely. Besides San Miniato has a truly breathtaking panorama, in the countryside and in the Tuscan hills. A little gem.
