Passo Rolle, San Martino di Castrozza

(4.5/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
The high mountain pass Passo Rolle links the Fiemme and Primiero valleys, taking you above the tree line and the towns of Predazzo, San Martino di Castrozza, and Fiera di Primiero for a view of crags, peaks, and spires. In winter, there is a ski station geared towards beginner and intermediate skiers. In summer, there are a variety of hikes and trails in the high country from this starting point. You can buy local products at a hut, and a small village with a few shops is nearby. • A stunning pass between Bellamonte & San Martino di Castrozza that has about 15km of skiing but some stunning runs nonetheless. This is a snow trap and as a result there is no artificial snow making c...  more »
  • The extinct village consists largely of derelict building. Most lifts were closed and no one could tell why. You buy a ski pass for the whole area and there belongs to passo rolle but here was so little to skiing.
