  • The pass is a close but wonderful way over the Hill. Who spend more time in buying can take something on the way to Bolzano-Bozen or in one of the villages in the Passeier Valley should go this way. The view is great and the many curves bring driving fun. On the way there are several guest houses and accommodation options. Furthermore some entry points for hiking. My highlight was the "above the clouds". There is a parking with guest house on the Summit of the pass. Since the clouds were deeper, I could stand here more or less above the clouds, and the peaks of the Alps herausluken see. "Magical" trademark. Here, two cars fit past each other. Caravans come about it, too, you should certainly attract these. Completely unsuitable for trucks. Regularly you be turned over most lavishly from the first curves with a crane, so that they come back. Otherwise good ride!

  • Road going up from San Leonardo to vipiteno not perfect, in some places lezzuccia, but pleasant, from 2/3 ride carefully, about the road are in the Woods before heading out to the meadows and barren rocks in the last part, then over the pass we descend on normal roads to Vipiteno. recommended things to be careful on the campers and motorists distracted. Highly recommended if you have time together at Pennes to avoid confusing the highway.

  • Although not the monumentality of the Stilfsjoch, the Jaufenpaß or Step not debunk Giovo. From Vipiteno to St. Leonhard, the traveler can enjoy the landscape of the Valley of the Wipptal, Sterzing belongs, with scattered villages, alpine meadows and forests of conifers following the italo-Austrian border line. It makes us see that we are in Tyrol, no matter which side of the border. The road goes through several Horseshoe curves between spruce that makes the delights of bikers, but when the altitude increases vegetation is getting thin and the temperature cools so remarkable. It is no coincidence that over 2000 m of altitude. On the other side we enter the Passeiertal to descend into St. Leonhard, but the descent is more abrupt, though no less beautiful. Ideal as walk to all kinds of people who want to enjoy a day outdoors. On the way there is countryside hotels, cafes and restaurants where do convenient stops.
