  • There is a lot to talk about, classical Romanesque church from the outside a little gem, but upon entering you will lose a lot. Inside a little dated or simple rock walls, no painting or great things which colour the aisles. A little gem so for lovers of the posts a little plain, ancient and silent (living in Ravenna, however, have much higher fees than the churches). If you are in San Leo, drop by.

  • With the Cathedral, which makes him face, the Church of the assumption is one of the two churches of San Leo. Romanesque style, the Church has has three naves separated by semicircular arches supported by pillars and columns. The crypt contains the volume and a reliquary of St. Leo, the Dalmatian who has evangelized the region.

  • The visit is free. The Church is gathered and tells, with its stones well restored, the history of evangelization of these lands. To see. Also of interest is the animated crib housed in a small room underneath the aisles and accessible from outside a door to the right of the entrance of the Church.

  • We visited San Leo this summer. Entered the Cathedral we didn't realise at the entrance there was a wrap. Let me start by saying that I was wearing a long dress to bare shoulders. We visited the Interior, there was no mass nor a person. Right off we were stopped by a lady with the badge. Annoyed told us there were jackets. At this point not considering myself dressed in a manner unbecoming, I told her that we were out and I asked her what was wrong with me. His words were "if I come to your House should I follow your rules, this is my home and follow my". The speech that followed was this: "this is your House?" Female "clean it and so is my home" husband "I thought it was the House of God and our" husband "at the time you received not even the pestilent in church and now? Women "go away or I'm calling the police" at that point we left disappointed from San Leo and even more disappointed by the Catholic Church
