  • Built on the rock and with the particularity of overhanging façade and without input. Simple, strict, a monument poor and with very few artworks, but extremely charming in its simplicity.

  • the ancient pieve di San Leo is very close to the Cathedral, built on the solid rock in some places within is clearly visible and you immediately think of the ability of manufacturers to place the structure in this rocky Summit. Very simple and severe as many old churches from a great sense of peace and induces in meditation. Few works of art inside but that doesn't make it a poor, indeed the whole monument can hit very visitors.

  • San Leo is so tiny that there is not much to see. It is worth to put one foot in the Pieve of Santa Maria Assunta. Small, simple, no frills. As should be every church. I loved.

  • We visited San Leo this summer. Entered the Cathedral we didn't realise at the entrance there was a wrap. Let me start by saying that I was wearing a long dress to bare shoulders. We visited the Interior, there was no mass nor a person. Right off we were stopped by a lady with the badge. Annoyed told us there were jackets. At this point not considering myself dressed in a manner unbecoming, I told her that we were out and I asked her what was wrong with me. His words were "if I come to your House should I follow your rules, this is my home and follow my". The speech that followed was this: "this is your House?" Female "clean it and so is my home" husband "I thought it was the House of God and our" husband "at the time you received not even the pestilent in church and now? Women "go away or I'm calling the police" at that point we left disappointed from San Leo and even more disappointed by the Catholic Church
