  • With those eyes looking at this village, as well as many others? With those of the tourist who realizes that there are places other than chaotic city of nowadays? With those of the romantic who becomes carried away by the views, ancient walls and by the sound of silence? With the ethnologist who going through what is left of a past perhaps closest to that remote? With those of the greedy looking for flavors that seem ancient and authentic ingredients, they are actually just a projection of the past with modern capabilities? With all these and more. When you visit wonderful places like these we must think and thank those who through their work and with their work permit that the world still could enjoy. But we must also reflect on what this idealized past, today, was very different from the one pictured. Not beautiful restored farmhouses, but workplaces and fatigue; not charming dwellings, except for the lucky ones; not wonderful dishes, but a lot of hunger and misery. All that our eyes and our minds should be able to see, to really understand these places.

  • Tuscany is that even if we hear and see in the picture but in person can be even more beautiful! Lucignano d'asso is a fantastic hosting brings the view of Tuscany in a fantastic panorama and practically private for you. It's not a hotel, it's a home (and that House!) fully equipped with fireplace, warm shower, ample, perfect for couple or entire family as it has two large bedrooms and two bathrooms. Not to mention the charm of Tuscan-style house that just being here to understand. We came at a time when colder but the pool is inviting, love is high and once again, with that fabulous view ... It is impossible not to mention the view. One more point that matters to the traveler: the location is excellent for those who are with rental car, is 15 minutes from Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni and less than 1 hour from Siena. All the villages are beautiful to are worth knowing and spend a day or half a day there. Finally, the hospitality of Lucignano d'asso is exceptional, Lorena was who else was with us, tips for those who want to meet tall things typical of Tuscany, as well as indications of good restaurants, best paths to locations and everything else. Oh, the site has a store of a very nice lady who has it all if Miss something and you're too lazy to go down to town (San Giovanni d'asso).
