4.7/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
The borders of Piazza della Cisterna, a triangular piazza in San Gimignano, are lined with medieval towers and houses that echo that architectural style. At the convergence of the town's two main streets, the piazza is a gathering place for locals, a site for outdoor markets, and a stage for festivals. Many of the stone buildings feature ground-floor cafes well-suited to people-watching. One of these structures houses the cistern that gives the piazza its name. • ככר נחמדה במרכז הכפר מגוון חנויות,פיצריות וגלידריות סביב שווה ביקור וסיור של חצי יום. לא עלינו למגדל בגלל המחיר 7 יורו לאדם.
  • Descending from the steps of the Cathedral square on the right you go into a triangular square of a good size with a large well on the left, the cistern, precisely that welcomes a unique name, which is prresenta with an unfolding of delightful medieval houses, brick and stone, with arches and double Lancet Windows. People goes all the way around, with his head pointing up, alone, in pairs or in groups behind the guide that elevates a plume raised on a stick and explains in several languages the history above. I see an ice cream shop beside an arc across which there is a third way to access and I'm going to try, with satisfaction.

  • One of Tuscany's oldest Piazzas, named after the cistern from the 13th century! The Gelato in the Gelateria opposite it is heavenly!!
  • That's a typical medieval square. There are shops all around and it's a good place to have a rest with an ice cream.
  • Čudovito mesto
  • A beautiful quiet little town before 9am and after 4/5.30pm. In between very busy with tourists. A great place to have a Gelato and people watch.
  • Good meeting spot with lots of shops around the location, and a well in the very middle!
