  • The Isola Del Garda is a destination you should not miss. One translated by boat and has out of the water views of the impressive building. The guides are on German, Italian and English. The guides will be great pains to give the guests an insight into the impressive history of the House, the family and the daily life of the Islanders. In addition to the rooms to visit, it goes through the garden and the forest. The rooms offered concerts, which is a special treat in this atmosphere with security. At the top of the castle there is a small snack with olives, cheese, wine and olive oil tasting on the terrace. Unfortunately, some visitors give insight rain, what's lack of nursery. It is hard to believe how many believe that, with the admission price, the island has transitioned in their property. Otherwise, it is hard to explain why is gelatscht over the beds, the fruit picked from the tree or accessible at the snack bar with both hands in the selection of cheeses and olives, as if there is nothing more to eat for the rest of the week... Employees could not resist some eye rolling in addition to her smile. But I'm glad a bit foreign shame is so inclusive. The island is worth a visit in any case. The impressions are really great and a trip only to recommend!

  • We have during our stay at the camping Fornella rented a boat. If you the small harbour of the camping funeral, you see Isola del Garda. 5-10 minutes we carry along the coastline of the island. It looks magnificent green and Castle/villa is so even more beautiful. We're not quite to the island dangers but have approx 60% of the coastline. You can also explore the island itself. Then you should book an excursion. This we have not done

  • Lovely, family run place. Worth a visit to hear about the history of the property and the family. I've enjoyed the food and wine tasting as well.
  • I love that one daughter from the original descendants leads the tour. It feels quite special, all the "we repaired this and we plan to next fix that ..." Also, it is a truly beautiful property.
  • Gorgeous house and gardens set on a little island on Lake Garda. Photo opportunities a plenty so make sure your DSLR is fully charged! Views across the lake are fab. Tours conducted by the people who own it, friendly, informative and incredibly hardworking folk they are too.
  • Wonderful excursion to a private island and villa with a rich history and run by the family members that still live there today. Beautiful photos here and a different perspective of the lake.
  • One word...fantastic! Do not miss the opportunity of visiting this island when around Lake Garda. 50 euros included a boat ride from Port Portese for two with a great guided tour of the island and house followed by wine and olive oil tasting. The island produces its own olive oil that can be bought for 10 euros (0.5l) and it tastes great. The photo opportunities whilst there are endless and the tour guides are so in love with their jobs (and who wouldn't be) that they make the visit that extra special.
