  • The island was owned by monks and emperors, but according to the story, played by one of the same family owning Cavazza, have visited the island, and beyond, St. Francis of Assisi, Saint Anthony of Padova and in 1304, according to tradition, he hosted Dante Alighieri, who would remember the place in the divine In 1429 he reached san Bernardino of Siena and in 1798 , the now venerable monastery was finally suppressed by Napoleon Bonaparte. • The private island, which was only made available to the public in recent years is worth a visit in any case. For 2 people, we have paid €68 from Bardolino. Just thought this was too expensive, but the impression has completely compensated me for the price. After a short introduction by the very nice directors there were oil and wine grown with olives and other small appetizers first. The lead lasted then 1.5 hours even through the building and the great gardens and for a walk until you reach exit of the vessel was again time for less than an hour. All in all not too expensive, but possibly worth visiting.
