  • Thanks to the website of the municipality of SBT I became aware of this coastal wetland/OASIS. Intrigued by the recent recovery and site information I got from SBT along the sea in Nordic walking and I walked from the embankment. The trails are well maintained as well as the tourist information offices, I couldn't admire much wildlife due to lack of water in the mirrors and advanced season; I must say that I never expected to find in a place so small a variety of such environments. I would also say the project together is absolutely positive. For lovers of these environments I recommend visiting Rovigo Porto Caleri coastal Botanic Garden and fossil dunes of San Basilio and Grillara in the municipality of Ariano nel Polesine; Here you will find the explosion and fauna of the place.

  • For strange political situations this piece of land remained forgotten by speculation. The natural reserve has anointed him unexpected angle where to find wildlife and native plants. To visit, but with respect for the rules!

  • Bilge nature reserve, established in 2004 in an area of about 180 hectares, is striking for its breadth, accentuated by the absence of human settlements. It is accessed from Porto d'ascoli along Hunter Street until the end (Via Martiri di Marzabotto). Here is the main entrance, with free bicycle rental. The wooden bridge and turn immediately left along the ditch, following the various maps of signs. The reserve is characterized by several salt marshes, surrounded by wild reeds and inhabited by numerous species of water birds that nest here, including the Knight of Italy, hired as a symbol of the reserve. About halfway down the eastern side, almost by the Sea stands the Tower on the Harbour, old guard building dating from 1543. Next door you can see an interesting garden with various plants and the "path of licorice", which once abounded and was collected for food uses. Walk along the streets maintained dell'oasi satisfy body and soul, is very relaxing and even instructive, educational panels that illustrate the history of the territory and environmental characteristics. Beautiful the path along the beach (almost 2 km of coastline), with many trunks worn smooth by the bizarre shapes. You can reach the river Tronto, follow the left bank and return by completing the loop. In an area so populated tourist activity and the presence of the reserve is a laudable initiative which has a miracle and it is desirable to be further safeguarded with specific environmental protection plans.
