  • This Botanical Garden is at the top of the hill which develops behind the historic centre in 20 minutes by walk. It is structured on 3 different floors where it is harvested medicinal plants from around the world. There is also a room with audiovisuals and a bar. Very nice

  • My wife and I visited the site on the morning of the 26/2/2017, allocated in the historic part of Salerno, with extraordinary vision on the city's seafront promenade. Enter from a door, like in a fairy tale, hides a set of terraced courtyards, filled with all manner of herbs that have been used by various doctors and scholars of the famous medical school of Salerno, came into contact with the gardens, which is known since 800 ad, until closing, which took place on the orders of Joachim Murat. Fortunately after the death of its last owner, prof. John Callahan, the property was eventually taken over by the city of Salerno, which in 2000, together with some students, reopened the facility to the public, which is composed of several terraces all strictly well groomed (I've personally seen a gardener at work Sunday morning of 26/2 u.s.). I personally think that the structure is a wedding favor, where they formed the first women doctor of Western society. We were very pleased to visit the terraces, with the intent to disclose the grounds, suited especially for educational tourism. Ad majora!!!

  • A quiet place away from the crowded streets where you can have some privacy over a glass of wine. Good view to the town below.
  • afraid of heights but worth the visit so peaceful and serene😊
  • Beautiful vantage point above Salerno. Garden very well maintained and cared for. On all plants there is its name and life cycle. Useful halls equipped with chairs to learn the properties of all the herbs. Outside in the small terrace you can enjoy sitting at the table a good nightcap. Recommended step in Salerno.

  • Beautiful surprise in the heart of Salerno. We visited this interesting garden after crossing walk the course and via dei Mercanti. It is rich in many plant species arranged in terraces at several levels. It is a historical place and famous throughout Europe had never visited although I was at Salerno again. A must see.
