  • this medioeval church was builded on ancient latin temple. there you may visit also a roman spa.it isn't always open, you must check the schedule  more »
  • Small complex of buildings and interventions that, starting from the Roman age, culminate in a church building of the Lombard period. The building has been excavated within and was left mostly blank to show all the excavation area; stratigraphy and interventions are therefore visible only from the floor or from modern canopies; the visibility is not optimal, but sufficient. Sufficient are explanations in the illustrative panels, but the real ACE in the hole (apart from the charm of the ancient structure preserved in high, that stands out even in relation to higher volumes of district) is the media apparatus that has a short but fascinating animated journey into the past of the site. The whole thing is opened and maintained by a competent person and the Superintendent who is in charge of everything, even of repairs to the multimedia system, put into operation on the morning of the day we stumbled upon us. Free admission, but do not forget to sign the guestbook.

  • In a visit of Salerno that is not limited to the promenade and the Cathedral, should not miss this archaeological complex, very interesting, even if they are difficult to decipher, in view of the fact that there are stratified site uses almost 2,000 years of life with extremely varied, as spas in the Roman period, as palazzo di Arechi in Lombard times. Required therefore be guided. The Council then to extend the visit to above Chapel of St Anne, now Deconsecrated, where there is a small Museum of local artifacts (mainly paintings and ceramics).

  • Very small church, located in the old town. Under ancient artefacts, little valued.

  • The site witnessed vicissitudes over the centuries, sadly undervalued.

  • Quaint place but almost indecent housing, lack of professionalism. In three days, no I never saw the owner of the bed and breakfast. Misleading advertising, the only parking available is chargeable in ZTL. Missing information. Bed and breakfast located in a building of 1600 without renovations to 3 floor, without lift and disabled access privileges and also nn from breakfast. Nn is true that overlooks the sea and there is Beach

  • The ancient Church of San Pietro a Corte retains under the remains of the Palace of Arechi II in the city, the only example of Lombard architecture present in Italy. Unfortunately the site is undervalued and has held open thanks to the efforts of volunteers, but it is a unique place to visit.

  • One of the most characteristic places of Salerno. At the top stands the Church of s. Pietro a corte, old Longobard Chapel. Beneath the Church, the remains of ancient Roman baths with medieval frescoes.
