  • I'll be back, last days of Jubilee, from San Pietro in via Santa Giulia passing on the Tiber. And in via Santa Giulia Church which we are loyal to the sepulchre of mons. Luigi Novarese, blessed of Casale Monferrato. We drive a hundred monferrini. With them and for them we carry (with Paolo Pia, Stat group) a bouquet of flowers on the grave. The Postulator don Aufiero announces that we are close to canonization. Mons. Novarese here had home and studio. A bit of news. The Church has a single nave with side chapels, covered by a barrel vault. In 1868 there were some internal changes by Tito Abedi and the decoration of the vault painted by Cesare Mariani (Coronation of the Virgin). The same architect of the Church, Carlo Rainaldi, is the second chapel on the right (before family Pandit and so dedicated to "Saint Mary comforter of the afflicted"). The third chapel on the left, patronage of the Mazzetti family of Pietralata was dedicated to the "Crucified": above the altar, there is a large wooden crucifix, by an unknown author of the 18th century, surrounded by twelve carved wooden reliquaries. The barrel vault with frescoes depicting episodes from the passion of Christ. We will return

  • It's nice to get in the eternal city and find the street name))) but seriously, one of the stunning streets that truly conveys the spirit of the eternal city, unforgettable, unique, mysterious, real!

  • A long street, sometimes a little calmer here than by the Tiber-river. Just think about the wine which came from the fountain in this picture during the nobles weddings!
