Via Condotti, Rome

3.7
#3 of 223 in Shopping in Rome
Visit Via Condotti for some of the best shopping and dining in Rome. In Roman times, this ancient street carried travelers from the Tiber to Pincio Hill. It was named after the channels supplying the Baths of Agrippa with water. Today, it offers the city's highest concentration of Rome-based designer fashion shops. You can discover smaller boutiques along the side streets. Walk all the way to the end to find the storied Spanish Steps. • Visited Sephora quite a big store but not as good as the one in Barcelona or Paris. I am an avid Sephora fan and always try to visit each country. Not a great range of brands, was hoping for Bare Mine...  more »
  • Legendary, as usual. But why not "disasfaltarla", to make it more "ambitious" and "total pedestrian"? (Refer to 19 on Sunday, company's garbage trucks full transit ivi) ..., not really style "Neapolitan mount Street in Milan, huh ..."

Where to stay in Rome

For easy foot access to most of the city's main historical sites, consider staying in Rome's old town center. The area is conveniently placed for public transport, only a walk away from the city's main railway station. Accommodations here span all hotels sectors, from cheap hostels to luxury brand names. To avoid the steep prices and overcrowding of the town center, explore the hotels in the inner suburbs of Rome. They offer comfortable rooms and excellent food at a fraction of the price charged by the centrally located hotel chains. Another affordable option is the area around Vatican, which boasts a good selection of family-owned B&Bs.
