  • Ruins of one of the most important spa areas of the city of Rome. They are located near the Colosseum. When they were built they were the largest rome and "pare" in the world. They exude history from all sides of them. To see.

  • The Baths of Trajan are at the end of the Parco del Colle Oppio Park, which overlooks the klocium. The baths were built by the emperor Trajan who wanted to compensate the people on the lands taken by Nero. They were built in part of the area of the Golden House of Nero burning in flames in 104 ad. They were designed by the architect Apollodorus of Damascus and their construction ended in 109 A.D. The baths were considered to be large in their early periods, and only later were the Caracalla baths and the Baths of Diocletian who were larger. It is not possible to go inside, but only to be impressed with the outside, so it is advisable to combine the visit with a trip to the park.

  • I visited the baths of Trajan after participating in the underground ruins of the Domus Aurea guided tours located on the East side of the same Oppio Hill. However, was watching the reutilization of the ruins of the baths of Diocletian and the baths of Caracalla track like the memorable bits and pieces through a chain-link fence in the Park remains. So, did not feel the structure as a public bath facilities and atmosphere. It was reclaimed from the Domus Aurea suffered a fire built and equipped with a large garden and library, said that the predecessor of the baths of Caracalla.

  • An amazing site for history but like many park or monument areas in Rome it needs attention and off bounds. It is worth visiting to see the history but there is limited things to do here and be careful of pickpockets/rude sellers on the street. Tip...do not let people distract you or tie bracelets to you.
  • It’s the oldest bathhouse I’ve been to. Hello
  • Today are only ruins, a shadow of the former glory. But is significant not because of aestetics, is because 5his because the history.
  • It could have been great :)
  • Only ruins left, not anywhere to have a tour round everything is fenced off.
