(4.4/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
Scuderie del Quirinale, originally built to house the papal stables in the mid-1700s, is now an exhibition space that's home to many cultural events and exhibits throughout the year. Check online to see what is showing; past exhibits have highlighted the work of Vermeer, Caravaggio, Tintoretto, and Frida Kahlo, to name a few. The building is located on the highest of Rome’s seven hills, so make time in your visit to head upstairs and enjoy the panoramic views of Rome offered through the great window, which was designed by Gae Aulenti as part of the restoration of the building. • The Palace of the stables at the Quirinale is located between the Quirinal and the Consulta, in front of the fontana dei Dioscuri. The building has an area of about 3000 square meters, spread over several floors. The first two make up the exhibition area which often hosts exhibitions of the highest cultural level.

  • Short day or weekend breaks in Rome also in order not to lose the temporary exhibitions (Caravaggio, Lorenzo Lotto, Titian, Frida Kahlo, Correggio and Parmigianino ...), always guess, beautifully landscaped to the stables. Food service and cafeteria staff, and well organized, efficient and courteous. The book shop interior is well stocked. Ah, the stained-glass window by Gae Aulenti is one of the attractions of the new venue: breathtaking! Online ticket revenue without tail.

  • Great art exhibition: utmost care to spaces and lights, focus the placement of the exhibits, frequent evening meetings (3-4 times a week) to explore the themes of the current exhibition. Very nice bar with a great view upon the city.
